Vanguard XXI is certified in and utilizes the following social & psychological assessments for personal, professional, and organizational coaching and development.
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator is recognized as the gold standard for assessing, studying, and applying Jungian Psychological Type Theory. The MBTI Conflict Style Report specifically addresses how people create and resolve conflict interpersonally and through organizations by gaining greater understanding of the four MBTI conflict pairs and four EQ competencies of self-awareness, self, management, organizational awareness, and relationship management. Clients learn how to better understand their own strengths, needs from others, how others perceive them, and triggers. Clients gain greater understanding in these four areas of their fellow team members as well. Finally, teams utilize this assessment report to evaluate how they can better incorporate six principles of high performance leadership into their organization, as well as how they are empowered and can empower one another to implement their organizational values into everyday leadership. We also utilize the world-renowned Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI(r) assessment), the TKI Team Report helps teams understand how five conflict-handling modes-competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding, and accommodating-affect interpersonal and group dynamics, and how to select the most appropriate approach for a given situation.
The DISC assessment is a powerful tool that helps individuals and teams understand their unique communication styles, behaviors, and motivations. DISC categorizes behavior into four primary types: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness, each revealing different approaches to problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership. At Vanguard XXI, we use DISC to support personal, professional, and organizational growth, helping clients recognize their strengths, identify potential challenges, and enhance interpersonal relationships. Through DISC, individuals and teams gain practical insights that drive self-awareness and improve communication, ultimately fostering a more collaborative and productive environment.
The Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EIQ) assessment is designed to help individuals understand and develop their emotional intelligence—the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions in themselves and others. EIQ is a critical factor in effective leadership, teamwork, and overall success, as it directly impacts how individuals communicate, handle stress, and navigate social complexities. At Vanguard XXI, we utilize the EIQ assessment to empower clients with insights into their emotional awareness, empathy, and self-regulation, providing a foundation for enhanced personal and professional interactions. By improving emotional intelligence, clients can build stronger relationships, make better decisions, and foster a positive organizational culture.
The Korn Ferry ESCI, designed by world renowned EQ leaders, Dr. Daniel Goleman and Dr. Richard Boyatzis, provides a comprehensive EQ360 assessment to leaders utilizing personal, peer, supervisor, and subordinate assessments of the leaders EQ competencies and attributes. The ESCI provides clients feedback in four domains of EQ: self-awareness; self-management; social awareness; and relationship management. Clients receive feedback in both statistical and written form on how well they exercise the subordinate 12 EQ competencies that differentiate from outstanding to average performers and leaders. We also provide a Team ESCI report which provides an organization a perspective on their leadership cultures EQ. The ESCI is one of many tools we use in both individual and team executive leadership coaching.
The Maslow Leadership Culture Actualization Index (CAI) is one of the newest and most accurate measurements of organizational culture in a post COVID world. The people coming back to your offices aren't the ones who left. Leaders are acknowledging that people and culture are among the key competitive advantages. Most engagement surveys were developed 10-20 years ago and do not capture the post-covid dynamics. Organizations need a new approach, and new measurement tools, to manage and redevelop their culture and leaders. All over the world, boards, executive leadership teams, and senior leadership teams are reevaluating their people & culture KPIs. The CAI is a research-driven, proactive leading KPI that help you predict and prepare for changes. The CAI is a new and evidence-based survey, measuring Culture as Employee Experience and can be used for Teams or for a whole organization. It identifies employee and organizational cultures basic needs, psychological needs, and personal and professional growth needs in the remote, hybrid, in person workplace. The Index is a great input for employee climate surveys, culture transformation projects, executive coaching, leadership coaching, and team coaching, and includes a Culture Action Plan for organizations to follow through on the feedback provided."
